Gameplay & Rules

Why wasn't my word accepted?

A word is rejected if it is: 1) Under 3 letters, 2) Not in our 400,000+ word database (which includes slang and technical terms but excludes some proper nouns/abbreviations), or 3) Already found in your current session.

How does the Combo Multiplier work?

The multiplier is a reward for speed. Every time you submit a valid word within 5 seconds of the previous one, your multiplier increases by 0.25x (e.g., 1.0x, 1.25x, 1.5x). If you take longer than 5 seconds, the multiplier resets to 1.0x.

What does the "Shuffle" (Recast) button do?

If you find yourself stuck and unable to see any more words, clicking the "Shuffle" button will generate a completely new set of random letters on the grid. This clears your current selection but does not affect your score or the timer. Note that shuffling is disabled in Frenzy mode.
